On the 26th of June, His Majesty King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands opened the hydrogen installation from Gasunie, in Veendam in the province of Groningen.
The HyStock hydrogen installation is the first electrolyser for so called 'green' hydrogen in the Netherlands. It will use sustainable solar energy to convert water into hydrogen. The hydrogen will be used as energy carrier, with the major benefit that it can be easily stored for future use.
Together with Groningen Seaports, SoluForce was at this event with its Flexible Composite Pipe (FCP, also known as RTP) solution. With this piping system, SoluForce responds to an important future role in the total value chain for hydrogen distribution and transportation.
Our King Willem Alexander was impressed with the Dutch designed and produced SoluForce FCP system and signed a sample of the SoluForce pipe to mark the occasion.
Later this year, SoluForce and Groningen Seaports will realize the hydrogen backbone in Eemshaven.
